WAGO is currently in the process of setting up an R&D Competence Center in Singapore to better cope with the rising global market demand. The new R&D Competence Center will start its operations in the already existing infrastructure in Singapore.

The focus of the new R&D Competence Center in Singapore will lay on the business areas of sensor technology and power electronics for serving the energy, building, and EV sectors.

We are looking for someone who enjoys and has experience in Power Electronics.

**Scope of Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Develop innovative power electronic systems for DC grids, with a focus on designing DC charging points across different power classes and configurations.
- Oversee the design, operation, and compliance of DC charging points, ensuring adherence to relevant standards, back-end connectivity via OCPP, and effective communication with vehicles.
- Lead component selection and define system specifications, collaborating closely with manufacturing partners for prototype construction and series production.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal specialist departments, offering expertise on project-specific matters.
- Prepare comprehensive product documentation, conduct risk analyses, and contribute to the creation of test scenarios and reports.
- Provide support for field testing, commissioning, and pilot projects, ensuring seamless product integration.
- Play a pivotal role in obtaining product certifications and approvals by coordinating necessary activities.
- Stay updated of the latest advancements in power electronics, PCB design techniques, and industry trends to drive continuous innovation.

**Qualifications & Competences**:

- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience, ideally in DC fast charging infrastructure, power electronic converters' system integration, or grid integration of renewable energies and energy storage systems.
- Profound knowledge in the design, operation, management, and commissioning of grid-connected power electronic converters.
- Demonstrated experience in product development and certification of power electronic converters.
- Familiarity with tools like Matlab/Simulink, PLECS, Labview, PLC to facilitate effective system design and analysis.
- A degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a specialization in electrical power engineering, power electronics, renewable energies, or battery system technology.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and contributing to new technology development initiatives, along with publications in esteemed journals.
- Exceptional ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, with outstanding communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive work ethic, demonstrating a results-driven approach.
- Fluent English language skills are required, and proficiency in German would be an advantage.
- Willingness to undertake occasional business travels related to ongoing projects.
