GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Securities (Equities/Exchange Traded Derivatives/Structured Products (EQ/ETD/SP)) Execution Services Specialist is member of the Securities (EQ/ETD/SP) Execution Services APAC team and shall endeavour to fulfil the financial ambitions defined and outlined for the team by Head of Securities (EQ/ETD/SP) Execution Services APAC. He/she shall ensure active risk management and meet all regulatory and internal compliance expectations relating to the role.

The incumbent is one who has strong attention to details. He/she shall ensure the fast and accurate quoting and execution of equities, exchange traded derivatives and structured product orders and keep operational losses to a minimum. Given this role is expected to be focusing more on Structured Products, he/she should possess good knowledge of Structured Products, especially on the flows side and have experience in pricing and executing.

He/she shall provide a high quality of service to the Bank’s Direct Access Clients (DACs) and provide market insights if/where required. The incumbent shall also build highly effective relationships across the Bank to maintain and improve knowledge of the business and its latest products and services to optimise service to clients. He/she shall also work well with external SP counterparts, including sourcing of quotes, placement & execution of orders, and post-trade coordination

The Securities (EQ/ETD/SP) Execution Services Specialist reports to Head of Securities (EQ/ETD/SP) Execution Services APAC.

N.B.: For the avoidance of doubt, any reference to Function/Team in this document refers to Securities (EQ/ETD/SP) Execution Services APAC team

**People **Management**

**Client Management (internal & external)**
- Fast and precise execution and booking of equities, exchange traded derivatives and structured product trade orders, keeping error rates to a minimum
- Efficient and effective handling of pricing and structuring requests, order and lifecycle management
- Render a high quality of service to equities DACs
- Regular consultation with Front representatives to be kept updated of clients’ needs/demands and take appropriate measures to fulfil them, where relevant
- Support Relationship Managers in client meetings, where relevant
- Liaise with external SP counterparts for sourcing of quotes, placement & execution of orders, and post-trade coordination

**Business Management**
- Work to fulfil the ambitions of the team defined by Head of Securities (EQ/ETD/SP) Execution Services APAC
- Maintain and update stored equities DACs information regularly
- Regular review of the function’s practices to ensure efficiency and productivity are kept at optimal levels

**Compliance & Risk Management**
- Meet all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements
- Adhere to all relevant Local User Manuals
- Ensure that all approvals have been obtained for new counterparties prior to the commencement of trading
- Regular assessment of the function’s practices to mitigate associated risks arising out of and relating to the said function
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

**Professional and Technical**
- Relevant higher educational and professional background with 5-10 years of relevant working experience
- Good knowledge of Structured Products, especially on the flows side, and have experience in pricing and executing
- Good command of financial analytics skills especially in equities and structured products
- Strong understanding of the use of electronic pricing tools and dealing systems
- Represent the Bank’s and shareholders’ interests at all times
- Ability to provide advisory to the business
- Strong commercial judgement
