Mobile Software Engineer

Thales Singapore Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well-established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity, IoT, banking & payment to government solutions.

The Mobile Connectivity Solution (Digital Engineering Services) Mobile team is responsible for developing secure mobile SDKs and apps for Trusted Digital solution that involves mobile & backend that is used by worldwide customers.

**A week in the life of a Software Engineer (iOS)**
- You will work together with **local and remote **development team to deliver the common features with **agile development methodologies **.
- You will contribute to the improvement of existing technology platform/baseline, development methodology and product evolution through **prototyping **and patent proposal.
- You are also required to work together with the team in creating **test strategies, test plans, automated test codes, test execution **, follow up and reporting
- You will perform **peer code review **to ensure **code quality **and that team follows best engineering practices
- You will participate in **security risk assessment **of mobile solutions - identifying assets, attacks and relevant applicable mitigations
- You will actively collaborate with **world-wide technical organization **and strategic partner on **daily **basic. Provide technical consultation to project team and distance counterparts.
- You will need to **support customer deployment and maintenance **activity when required.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Competences:

- Possess **excellent programming **skills. **Kotlin knowledge (or Java) **will be a strong advantage
- Knowledge on **PKI **, **cryptographic **and mobile app **security **.
- Strong knowledge on **unit testing **and **test automation **is mandatory
- Strong experience with **API design (client-server projects) **and mobile **SDK **development
- Experience with **mobile device hardware API **(e.g. NFC, BLE, Biometric, Camera, Sensor, Secure Element, etc)
- Experience with **continuous integration **and **build automation (GIT/ Mercurial/Jenkins)**:

- Able to demonstrate one or many of the following: open source project, coding competitions / hackathon, app publication or technical white paper.

- **Motivated self-starter **, independent, autonomous & fast learner
- Logical, creative problem-solving skills and excellent analytical skills
- Willing to travel occasionally and work with remote teams when required
- Comfortable to work with parties across multiple geographical sites and flexible in working hours
