**Job Description**:
**Basic Functions**

This position manages, directs, and coordinates shopfloor operations, including Production, Warehousing, Facility Maintenance, Logistics, QA & Factory Safety. He/she is accountable for all aspects of operational performance, and to assure that organization’s manufacturing objectives are achieved at the lowest cost with consistent quality.

**Responsibilities**
- Managing, leading, and motivating the crew to build team spirit and to maintain high morale. Promote teamwork among employees to enable effective engagement within teams, as well as with the supporting functions.
- Develop and establish adequate control & reporting system to provide management with sufficient information as to accomplishment, progress, capabilities and/or programs of the manufacturing operations for further improvements.
- Prepares forecast capacity planning, output, organizing and allocation of resources to meet delivery requirements.
- Managing the daily Warehousing activities to ensure material availability & issuance.
- In-charge of Logistics functions in coupled with Facility Maintenance department to drive continuous improvements in transportation safety, delivery efficiency, labour utilization and cost saving.
- Responsible for the overall performance (Quality, OTD, Cost) in the sheet metal fabrication environment, including 5 ‘S’ housekeeping and safety.
- Responsible for coaching supervisors and engineers to prepare process and control plans that enable the fabricators and welders to perform sheet metal fabrication and test processes efficiently.
- Strengthen the shop floor management practices by tapping the talents and creativity of staff to contribute in continuous improvements.
- Ensure safety and operations in compliance with facility ISO, WSH/WSG maintenance programmes, manufacturing tools maintenance, test equipment calibration, and proper documentation of fabrication, assembly & test standards in the metal fabrication environment.
- Establish training plans with training department, conduct appraisal of employees, enforce skills matrix and certification of engineers, technicians, fabricators and welders.
- Participate in long-range plant expansion, conversion and equipment planning.

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary Education or equivalent
- At least 3~5 years of managerial experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment
- Preferably with basic knowledge of laser cutting, bending, turret punching and welding processes.
- A team player with an eye for detail, and possess excellent communication skills.

Working location : Hougang, shifting to woodlands by the end of year.
