**The Role**

You will direct the activities of students and/or child in the centre. You are responsible for the smooth operations of the Centre, and in meeting the student enrolment targets and profit goals. You will develop children in academic, social, personal hygiene, music, art and motor skills to promote students’ physical, mental and social development.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Operations**:

- Prepare and submit facility budget to management for approval.
- Purchase instructional materials and teaching aids, such as books, toys, and games designed to stimulate learning.
- Review and approve menu plans and food purchases.
- Ensure the safety and well being of each individual child. Observe children to detect signs of ill health or emotional disturbance and to evaluate progress.
- Maintain an appropriate atmosphere of safety, learning, and fun, in line with YMCA’s philosophy.
- Report management on student enrolment, expense, manpower, training and etc.
- Perform classroom-teaching duties (Homework Supervision, Enrichment Activities, Character Development sessions, Outdoor activities and other appropriate activities) during the absence of regular teacher.
- Responsible for preparing course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of government.
- Supervise activities such as field visits and group discussions to stimulate students’ interest and broaden the understanding of their physical and social environment.
- Reporting to school leaders on SCC matters, according to the requirements of Ministry of Education.

**Staff Management**:

- Conduct interviews and recommend hiring of teaching staff.
- Set goals and targets and appraise staff performance.
- Confer with teaching staff regarding children behavioural or learning problems, and recommends methods of modifying inappropriate behaviour and encouraging learning experiences.

**Student-Parent Matters**:

- Confer with parents regarding facility activities, policies, and enrolment procedures.
- Counsel and discuss the student’s behavioural attitudes and achievements with parents.

**Job Requirements**:

- Diploma and/or Degree in Pre School-Teaching, Early Childhood Education or related discipline.
- Diploma in community and social services (or any other equivalent or higher certification) OR possess at least two (2) years of relevant experience in the field.
- At least 5 years' experience of in supervisory capacity.

**Qualities**:

- Good communication skills (both oral and written), interpersonal skills with flexibility to work with various age groups.
- Patient and has a passion and love for teaching children.
- Friendly and cheerful disposition.
- First Aid Trained.
- An innovative team player that is dynamic, self-motivated, pro-active, mature and results oriented with the determination to succeed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $3,000.00 - $3,600.00 per month
