Make repairs, by replacing broken clasps, altering sizes, resetting stones, pendants, lockets, rings, brooches and bracelets.
- Beats gold strips into gold leaf, using hammers, for use in decorating jewellery
- Create jewellery from gold, silver, and precious gemstones
- Make a model with carved wax or with a computer-aided design, and then cast pieces with the model
- Examine and grade diamonds and other gems
- Clean and polish jewellery using polishing wheels and chemical baths
- Compute the costs of labour and material for new pieces and repairs
- Solder pieces together and insert stones
- Smooth joints and rough spots and polish smoothed areas
- Shape metal to hold the gems when making individual pieces
- Compute the costs of labour and material for new pieces and repair
- Adhere to all applicable safety and health regulations pertaining to ergonomics, quality control, protective gear, hazardous materials handling or disposal, etc

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum Bachelor's Degree
- Should be able to work in a team and give an individual contribution towards the creative ideas
- Should be Innovative and should be updated to the latest trends
- Preferably to communicate well in English and Tamil to liaise with Indian-speaking clients/customers in view of working/business environment communication
- Must be willing to do OT and work on Sundays (off days given on weekdays)
- Must be well organized and driven to meet customer deadlines
- Creative thinking and vision, to produce new ideas
- Highly developed design skills and thorough manufacturing knowledge of jewellery techniques
- Should be able to understand the concepts of clients requirement
