**Game UI / Icon Artist**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create UI mockups from provided wireframes and design specs
- Create and polish UI assets from mockups (Buttons, Icons, Panels, Borders, etc)
- Conceptualise, draw, and paint 2D game assets like maps, icons, badges, and other miscellaneous objects
- Collaborate with game designers and programmers on the look and function of UI
- Communicate ideas with the team to improve on existing concepts
- Work closely with UX Designers to create intuitive UI for the game
- Have a good, top-down understanding of how the game works and flows
- Ensure stylistic consistency and respond readily to feedback
- Be flexible and pragmatic in balancing edit requirements with the production schedule
- Work with other artists to create efficient solutions for building the look and feel of the game
- Where applicable, tap on experience to assist in miscellaneous development tasks
- Ideally 1-3 years of experience in the mobile games industry
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
- Proficiency in drawing, painting, and design
- A genuine, personal interest in UI design and function, and its ability to enhance gameplay
- Able to work both collaboratively and independently
- Self-driven and self-directed, with the ability to visualise and plan personal learning and improvement
- Excellent attention to detail, color harmony and shape language
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Portfolio showcasing game-related UI work must be provided
