**Job Summary**:
The Kitchen Assistant cum Server is responsible for supporting the kitchen staff with food preparation and maintaining cleanliness while also assisting in serving food and beverages to customers in the dining area. This dual role helps ensure smooth operations in both the kitchen and front-of-house, contributing to a seamless customer dining experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. **Kitchen Responsibilities**:

- Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
- Help prepare salads, sauces, and garnishes under the guidance of the chef.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including washing dishes and clearing waste.
- Monitor and organize kitchen inventory and supplies, ensuring everything is properly stored.

**2. **Serving Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Take customer orders and accurately relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely manner.
- Refill drinks, clear plates, and check on guests to ensure they are satisfied with their meals.
- Handle customer inquiries or issues and report any complaints to the supervisor.

**3. **Customer Service**:

- Provide excellent customer service by being attentive and responsive to guest needs.
- Recommend menu items and assist customers with any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Ensure all guests have a pleasant dining experience by maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

**4. **Cleaning and Maintenance**:

- Clear tables and clean dining areas after guests leave, ensuring the area is ready for the next customers.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including floors, tables, and service stations.
- Assist in regular cleaning schedules for both the kitchen and dining area to meet hygiene and safety standards.

**5. **General Support**:

- Assist with restocking supplies in both the kitchen and front-of-house areas.
- Help with setting up the restaurant for service, including preparing tables and condiments.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in both kitchen and serving roles is preferred but not required.
- Strong multitasking abilities and willingness to work in different areas.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable attitude.

**Working Conditions**:

- Must be able to work in both kitchen and dining environments, which may include exposure to heat and heavy lifting.
- Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle a fast-paced environment.

**Reports to**:

- Restaurant Manager or Supervisor for serving duties.
