**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement and promote occupational health programmes as well as provide recommendations on protective measures to control health risks and exposure to occupational health hazards
- Develop and implement safety related systems/procedures/initiatives to meet HSEQ policy guidelines and statutory requirements
- Recommend improvements to existing OS&H policies and procedures as well as coordinate resolution of implementation problems in order to enhance refinery HSE performance
- Perform HSE/ISO/SMS internal audit and participate in periodical inspections to verify compliance to rules & regulations and identify areas for enhancing safety performance
- Conduct training for staff & contractors on HSE matters as well as implement promotional programmes where required to raise awareness on new or changes in HSE-related procedures
- Advise on major accident hazards and provide guidance on corrective and preventive measures

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- At least 3 years’ experience in Occupational Health/Safety work, preferably in the Oil/Petrochemical industry
- Occupational Health/Safety Officer Training Course or equivalent certification will be an advantage
