**Job Details**:
We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst(DQA) to own and streamline the process of RightShip’s data quality management. RightShip has multiple products in the market to serve its customers and with an ever expanding portfolio, it’s a necessity for us to have a strong data quality management framework. The DQA would work in close collaboration with our Developers, QA engineers and product managers and at times with other business units as well
The work would primarily focus on establishing workflows to

i. Identify data gaps during data migration
ii. Ensure the ETL processes work as intended and identify optimisation opportunities
iii. Validate API data and ensure they operate within the established regulations

**Major Responsibilities**
- Participate in the development of automated reconciliation frameworks and proactively identify and add data reconciliation validation in such frameworks.
- Work closely with the existing QA and data engineering teams to improve overall data delivery and quality.
- Perform daily quality checks to ensure accurate, complete, reliable, relevant, and timely data.
- Create best practices to identify, address, and resolve data issues in a timely manner.
- Work with the various business units to resolve data exceptions.
- Communicate across teams and departments to promote transparency of data mapping and issues identified through the process.
- Collaborate on projects to backfill data and improve data quality working closely with database team.
- Monitor, maintain and respond to any quality issues with integrations between data providers and Right Ship’s core data platform

**Key Qualifications and Competencies**
- Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of database to assist in management requests.
- Proficient in data extraction, manipulation, and presentation.
- Self-directed and able to work with mínimal supervision
- Relevant qualification in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related curriculum or equivalent work experience
- Build strong relationships with the business to achieve a holistic approach to data quality management

**Preferred Skills**
- Prior experience using PowerBI and/or Tableau
- Knowledge of at least one programming language preferred. Relevant languages include VBA, R, Python, C#
- Experience with API Automation tools like Postman, Katalon Studio etc
- Experience in any of the following areas is preferred:_
- Understanding of Agile philosophy and prior experience working in an Agile environment
- An understanding on software QA, including best practices, processes, and all kinds of testing
- Prior experience in maritime industry will be a strong advantage
- A personal commitment to improved safety and environmental sustainability of the maritime industry.
