Working closely with Assistant Director, Corporate Communications, this position is responsible for managing media relations for the University to drive media publicity and public awareness. The incumbent will also work closely with various divisions in the University to gather, coordinate and develop compelling content across multiple platforms to inform and engage both internal and external stakeholders and the public. He/she will be responsible in developing and reviewing key external communications messages and media channels and platforms.

**The responsibilities of this role are**:

- Drive effective Public Relation campaigns through compelling and creative content, in line with University’s strategic goals and vision.
- Engage in media relations in both Singapore and overseas, including media enquiries, media pitching and organising media briefings and events.
- Develop content, including short/long form writing, press releases, speeches, messages and videos to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for crisis communications and issues management, including liaison with various stakeholders, ministries and agencies.
- Ensure competence of staff/faculty as media spokespersons through organising and facilitating media training and other engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (humanities, communications, or business).
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a relevant industry (media, communications, marketing, etc.).
- Passionate in storytelling and creative in producing content across multiple channels, including print, broadcast and digital media.
- Proven expertise in copywriting/proofreading and campaign management.
- Excellent organisational skills and project management capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with media and internal stakeholders.
- Self-driven, independent and highly motivated to excel.
- Relevant experience in an Institute of Higher Learning will be an advantage.
