**What Will You Do?**

As a data scientist, you will play an important role in supporting HDB on its journey to become data-driven to the core. In this role, you will assume the following responsibilities:

- Provide guidance to business units on data science techniques and how it may help them
- Conceptualise and execute data science projects for business units
- Uncover actionable insights and present them clearly in an easy-to-understand manner
- Work with IT and Internal Audit units to operationalise data science projects by deploying them into production and maintaining them
- Document, share and continuously improve data science practices
- Manage a range of stakeholders, while remaining focused on delivering high-impact data-driven outcomes for the good of the organization.

**Some of the projects that you might be involved in include**:

- Data visualization for pattern and trend identification
- Anomaly detection via machine learning algorithms
- Analysing textual data for insights and compliance issues
- Identifying trends and deviations for further investigation

**You will be a Great Fit if you**:

- Possess a relevant background (i.e., Bachelor’s, Master’s preferred) in Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Economics, Mathematics, Operation Research, Computer Science or related technical field from a reputed institution.
- Have 2+ years of relevant work experience in a business analytics or data science facing role
- Are experienced in use cases related to audit/compliance will be beneficial
- Are proficient in analytical tools such as Python, R, Tableau, etc.
- Have strong analytical, project management and organization skills
- A team player who loves working with diverse teams
- Passionate about working in the public service for the public good
- Independent and self-driven
- A clear and competent communicator
