**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Purpose: To advise, govern, oversee policy and direction for the Singapore operations. Assist with the leadership and general promotion of CMC Markets so as to support the organization’s mission and needs. Responsible for defining & implementing the CMC Markets business strategies for Singapore & SE Asia region.
- Strategic contribution: _
- Lead and be accountable for CMC Markets programmes in the Singapore
- Build a deep understanding and knowledge of current development and maintain an overview of general trends in development in the Singapore market
- Ensure that country strategies are effectively implemented, monitored and evaluated and actively participate in creating a knowledge management base to enable the sharing of learning organisationally
- Work as part of the regional senior management team to set the programme leadership agenda, programme structures, size and resourcing and policy development
- CMC Markets representation in the region _
- Lead on raising and advancing the profile, positioning and advocacy of CMC Markets in the Singapore market and region, networking with key people/bodies
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to raise brand profile and grow the client base
- Assess and respond to a changing external environment
- Programme Management _
- Lead on the development and implementation of coherent, country programme plans
- Effectively implement planning and review operations to ensure quality, delivery against plans, management of risk and appropriate reporting and monitoring
- People Management _
- Effectively manage, coach and train the Singapore team within the performance management framework and ensure the effective matrix management of local staff, contributing to their performance reviews
- Help develop working relationships across the APAC management with local team leaders, ensuring clear communication of strategy and targets
- Ensure ways of working and behaviours are in line with CMC Markets’ values and policies and the local regulatory framework
- Financial and Resource Management _
- Be accountable for budget, resources and assets, ensuring financial controls and cost effectiveness are paramount
- Compliance and security _
- Ensure regulatory compliance throughout the Singapore operations for all of CMC Markets’ policies and processes
- Enhance corporate governance structures to ensure visibility and accountability across the business, with clear reporting in to the group board
- Corporate leadership _
- As a member of CMC Markets APAC Exco, actively participate and contribute to the development of the overall corporate strategy
- Comply with CMC policies and procedures as they relate to your employment
- Complete all mandatory compliance training
- Suitability to be an FCA SMCR Certification Function
