Head of Master Data Management and
ROLE PURPOSE:
To support user community by collecting, collating and evaluating identified issues and problems with data
To provide Data Stewardship to support the reporting of consistent, conformed, mastered data
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Planning and Strategy:
- Helps to shape business strategy through the understanding of how data can be used to address current and emerging business needs
- Delivers assigned projects and also contributes to other projects and initiatives as required
- Provides relevant management information to Head of Master Data Management and Reporting, as required
Technology:
- Engages with business users to understand their data quality requirements and translate them into rules
- Works with the business users to help them understand their data quality issues and how errors can be fixed at source (e.g. Enhanced validation in source systems etc.)
- Helps to replicate current data quality rules and validation activities in the new tools
- Carries out data quality testing and profiling of data
- Conforms data to allow consistent reporting across the Group
- Creates reports and dashboards to identify significant issues and to advise teams about data quality issues within their datasets
- Supports the migration to the new MDM and RDM platforms, including the incorporation of new datasets into scope, and ongoing update activity for master data and reference data
Policy, Process and Procedures:
- Ensures up to date records are maintained at all times on the Group systems
- Keeps informed of legal and regulatory developments relevant to HX/the Group
- Follows the company processes and procedures
Environment, Customer Focus and Relationships:
Clients
- Develops strong relationships with the Business Units within the Group
- Acts as a point of contact for client requirements, data issues and queries
- Facilitates smooth communication between various parties within HX/the Group
- Resolves client issues relating to data and escalates them to the line manager if needed
Suppliers/Markets
- Maintains relationships with third party solution providers
Other
- Consistently delivers an excellent and comprehensive service
- Shares information that could be beneficial to HX/the Group
- Promotes company values and contributes to a positive culture within HX

- Acts as a role model by demonstrating a positive attitude and promoting continuous improvement

Regulatory and Compliance:
The Board of each Operating Entity requires the highest standards of corporate governance, operational excellence and financial reporting throughout the Group from all its employees. Specific responsibilities are listed below:
- Ensures compliance of self and team with all applicable legal, fiscal and regulatory obligations in the form of policies and procedures
- Ensures correct authorisation is obtained and processes followed when required by HX/or the Group
- Ensures performance, HR and T&C records are up to date and meet HX and/or the Group’s requirements (which will include those of direct reports)
- Maintains accurate records and deal with correspondence appropriately
- Operates in an honest, professional and ethical manner
- Strictly adheres to the Group Employee Code of Conduct
- Completes all relevant regulatory training
- Remains competent to carry out role (this will include direct reports)
