**The ROLE**
The General Manager shall be responsible for the smooth and efficient management of the Club. He/she will report to the President and work closely with the General Committee. He/she will undertake effective management of operations which include food & beverage outlets, membership relations, financial and human resources, sports & recreational facilities, safety & security procedures and all other matters pertaining to the operations of a country club. He/she will ensure that the Club is managed in accordance with the Club’s constitution and bye-laws and all applicable laws of Singapore. As such he/she is required to be conversant with all regulatory, business/economic and IT matters that will help him/her in the efficient discharge of his/her duties and responsibilities. The GM is required to have a thorough understanding of what the business of a country club is all about and therefore has the proven leadership ability to run and manage the Club to a high level of standards He is required to lead and motivate high performing teams in achieving the Club’s mission and objective of being a leading family club in Singapore.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Set key performance targets jointly with the General Committee and achieve such targets
- Ensure effective and prudent management of the Club’s finances
- Ensure efficient maintenance/repair of the Club’s facilities and operational assets at all times
- Exercise acumen in realizing a reasonable rate of return on the Club’s non-operational assets Maintain and keep updated operating procedures and manuals relevant to the smooth and efficient running of the Club
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE **Degree in business management, hospitality or relevant qualifications
- Management: no less than 10 years relevant experiences in managing a Country Club with:
- 1. Businesses and social/sports activities including F&B, Music/Dance & Entertainment, Fitness, Sports Recreation (including Swimming, Bowling, Darts, etc), various social activities for different age groups and gender;
- 2. Large compound and many buildings, equipment and facilities;
- 3. Thousands of members; and more than 120 employees.
- Restaurant & Bar management: with thorough understanding of F&B regulations, and with proven experiences in successfully managing F&B businesses Proven experience in working with board of directors (aka General Committee) elected by members of the club.
