Deputy Project Manager(Technical)

The deputy project manager (technical) is responsible for assisting the project manager and the technical department manager to deal with technical issues&challenges and provide technical support from the beginning to the end of the project. This position requires comprehensive technical experience, knowledge and coordination capabilities in Architectural, M&E, Structural, etc.

**A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows**:

- Check project specifications, tender document & drawings. List out the special request items from client and consultant and highlight to contract team to take note before award to specialist contractor.
- Submit Request of Information (RFI) to consultant for grey area inside drawing or specification.
- Liaise with Architect, Structural and M&E consultants, Landscape & interior designers, sub-contractors and suppliers on project implementations.
- Attend weekly Employer contract meeting, technical and site coordination meeting, sub-contractors progress meeting.
- Responsible in preparing the submission of shop-drawing and material samples to Consultant and Developer for approval.
- Coordinate drawings in other disciplines to check and ensure the accuracy of the drawings before issuance on site.
- Review and checked Architectural, M&E & Structural drawings such as documents require for consultant’s approval.
- Monitoring the progress of shop drawings, highlight design issues, submission of materials, Method Statement and Request for Information (RFI) when require.
- Monitoring, checking and updating all BCA ST Submission including consultant and specialist contractor.
- Ensure proper documentation of project, such as record correspondence and Construction drawings as per ISO standard.
- Assisting Quantity Surveyor to carry out and verify for various order claims.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Asst. Manager, site manager, Architectural in-charge & Project engineer’s personnel to effectively execute as per shop drawing approval. - Assign drafter/ modeler to produce shop drawing for individual trade.
- Based on master programme, prepare archi trade shop drawing approval schedule, material submission and approval date, schedule delivery date.
- Assist PM to prepare PBU Site Delivery, installation schedule.
- Assist specialist sub-contractor for relevant document submission to BCA for commence of work.
- Attend site walk with consultant and client for mock up review, site progress.
- Assist purchase department for counting and issuing material requisition form for all sanitary wares & fitting, kitchen appliances, timber door ironmongeries, floor and wall tile or marble or granite finishes.
- Follow-up on defective work and ensure sufficient rectification.
- Review construction drawings and ensure the compliance of the project to building regulations and standards.
- Submit all Archi trade As Built Drawing to consultant, developer & management agent.
- Arrange training for all unit kitchen appliance, air con, digital lock, water heater for hand over group.
- Accompany with consultant for all authority inspection (RI, TOP, Staircase Storey shelter, Sing Post, LTA, Nparks, PUB). Prepare comments & rectification work with photo for consultant to follow up.
- Prepare handover kit for purchaser.
- Follow up defect list from unit owner when hand over stage.

**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
- at least 20 years of technical experience.
- Have rich experience in technical management in oversea markets.
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Technical expertise and knowledge in Architectural, M&E and Structural
- Proficient in using relevant technical software
