**About the role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the APAC Finance Director, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial records and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations. You will work closely with Finance Manager, Front Office, and Business Support to provide accurate and timely financial information for decision-making. Scope focus is the Regional Hub, with coordination required with APAC markets.

You will be able to leverage the experience and expertise of financial controllers and accountants on the wider Operations and Business Support Teams in Singapore as well as other Local Operating Companies.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Support the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes, including preparation of account reconciliations and manual journals, and preparation of FS variance analysis for Senior Management and External Reporting;
- Ensure accurate and timely registration and posting of vendor invoices, including closely monitoring and following up on invoice approvals
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely, and in compliance with accounting regulations and group standards
- Prepare and execute payment instructions, and partner with the trading team on collections
- Maintain AR and AP ledgers, as well as deal settlement postings for a variety of environmental products;
- Act as a gatekeeper and ensure controls are in place, and processes are standardized for effectiveness and efficiency
- Collaborate and liaise with broader APAC Team regarding operational, IT, audit, treasury, tax, regulatory compliance, and credit matters with clients, vendors and third party service providers;
- Support GST and WHT Filings
- Assist with external audit requests and annual financial statement preparation;
- Assist in development and implementation of internal controls around accounting, finance and reporting processes and systems;
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff (external or internal)
- Ad hoc projects as required.

**Who you are**:

- University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA Designation is a plus
- At least 5 years working experience in a corporate accounting or public accounting position, Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, IFRS
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Being a mature professional with excellent judgment and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Dynamic, "outside of the box" problem solver with a "roll up your sleeves" mentality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Collaborative and communicative, can liaise with various stakeholders to share or receive critical information
- Self-starter, takes own initiative; Capability of taking ownership for decisions and being accountable for actions regardless of the outcome
- Decisive, can prioritize and effectively manages time;
- Proactive and illustrates a focus on continuous process improvement
