Intern, PWay Engineering
**Job Purpose**
The intern will be attached to the Asset & Reliability Group and will work alongside the Senior Engineer in analysing defect treads to support Engineering & Maintenance action. The intern shall be exposed to the different inspection methods and their data streams. The intern will assist the engineer in development scripts to automate data visualization and reporting.
Prior to data analysis work, the intern will be put through the classroom segment of track infra maintenance training and be oriented to the relevant track components, inspection systems and work procedures for a holistic understanding of how maintenance of track infrastructure is conducted.
**Responsibilities**
- Work in any of SMRT depots, tracks or facilities, as assigned by supervisors
- Partake in track work activities which will take place between the hours of 0100 to 0400hrs
- Complete all task and assignment given to him/her by the Asset & Reliability Senior Engineer
**Qualifications & Work Experience**
- Aptitude and openness to learn
- Interest in coding and data visualization
- Team player
- Flexible in adjusting to different working hours
- Interest in joining the railway industry after graduation
**Skills**
Familiarity with Power BI or equivalent data visualisation tools
Familiarity with XML and Python
Possess basic MS Office skills
Able to read and write in English proficiently
