**About The Role**

This role will provide thought leadership and technical mastery. Responsible for the design, maintenance and continuous improvement of the global risk framework and supporting projects and activities.
- Leads the design, maintenance and continuous improvement of the global risk framework.
- Leads global project teams in the development and execution of global risk improvement initiatives, including the Aligned Assurance Project.
- Coaches diverse stakeholder groups globally up to senior executives to uplift capability and enhance the adoption of the risk management framework.
- Coaches and provides direction for the global risk team to partner with the Assets and Functions to implement the risk framework
- Translates technical risk concepts, supports with the linking of risk and strategy, and delivers fact based risk insights to support the business in making risk based decisions.
- Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.

This role can be located in Australia, Americas or Singapore.

**About You**

You will have proven experience in risk management, ideally including a deep knowledge of professional risk (ISO31000, COSO, and RIMS) and relevant regulatory frameworks. Using your operational acumen and experience, you will be able to identify and implement practical solutions to improve risk outcomes aligned to our BHP Charter Values. Not only are you passionate about improving risk, you have a natural ability to coach and influence others, using these skills to provide clarity on complex issues and promote critical thinking to help the business manage risk.

You will be someone that is able to ‘join the dots’ see ‘the bigger picture’, a capable problem solver who is innovative, creative, insightful, collaborative, and responsive to key internal stakeholders.
