Sinopec Fuel Oil (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., the Asia-Pacific trading and supply hub of one of the world's largest integrated energy and chemical companies, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Managing Director to lead its strategic and operational activities in Singapore. This role is pivotal in steering the company’s growth across the region in fuel oil trading, marine bunkering, and downstream energy services.

The Managing Director will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of business operations, including commercial strategy, trading performance, stakeholder engagement, compliance, and regional expansion. This is a key leadership position that requires a deep understanding of the global fuel oil market and refined products supply chain, with a sharp commercial acumen and strong alignment to Sinopec’s global standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Develop and implement the company's strategic vision in alignment with Sinopec Group’s global direction and regional market opportunities.
- Drive business growth through strategic trading, supply chain optimization, and market expansion across Asia-Pacific.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in marine fuel bunkering, fuel oil blending, and terminal operations.
- Operational & Financial Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations including trading, supply, logistics, and risk management.
- Ensure profitability through sound commercial decision-making, operational efficiency, and robust cost control.
- Lead annual budgeting and financial planning processes, and deliver regular performance updates to the Board.
- Regulatory Compliance & Corporate Governance
- Ensure full compliance with Singaporean and international regulations, including MPA bunkering standards, environmental laws, and anti-corruption policies.
- Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and internal controls, aligned with Sinopec Group’s protocols.
- Stakeholder & Partnership Management
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, trading partners, port authorities, and clients.
- Represent the company in regional forums, industry bodies, and regulatory engagements.
- Leadership & People Management
- Lead and mentor a high-performing, multicultural team across trading, operations, and corporate functions.
- Promote a strong company culture based on performance, integrity, compliance, and safety.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and workforce optimization.

**Requirements**:

- At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in the oil & gas, fuel oil trading, or marine bunkering sector.
- Strong knowledge of fuel oil markets, international trading, hedging, and logistics.
- Demonstrated success in leading P&L-driven operations with strong financial and commercial outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field (MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred).
- Deep understanding of Singapore’s regulatory environment and Asia-Pacific fuel oil markets.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with cross-cultural management experience.

Preferred Attributes:

- Fluency in Mandarin is a strong advantage due to close coordination with Sinopec China headquarters.
- Proven track record in building strategic partnerships and expanding market presence.
- Familiarity with sustainable fuels and energy transition trends will be an added advantage.
