Company Profile

Our client was established in February 2021, a pioneer publisher that focuses on open access journals. Taking advantage of Singapore as the global business and technology hub, the Singapore office will work closely with our offices in China, Tokyo and Thailand to develop further collaboration with the scientific community in the Asia-Pacific area.

**The Job**

**Responsibilities**:

- Edit scholarly articles submitted to MDPI journals to a publication-ready standard.
- Ensure manuscripts align with MDPI’s house rules.
- Meet tight deadlines and hit targets with a high degree of consistency.
- Take on additional roles, such as training colleagues within and outside of the department and editing corporate material.
- Collaborate with members of Editorial and Production teams.

Experience and Skills

Essential criteria:

- Expert knowledge of the English language to be able to effectively liaise with stakeholders in the region.
- Experience in editing, translating, or publishing.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an international team.

Desirable skills and experience:

- Professional experience in academic research, editing, or publishing.
- A master’s, PhD, or equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with LaTeX.
- Experience working in an office environment.
