Senior Application Consultant

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a seasoned **Actimize Transaction Monitoring Lead Consultant**to take ownership of strategic, functional, and delivery aspects of **Actimize SAM 9/10 implementations**across global banking environments. This role is ideal for a solution-oriented professional with deep knowledge of suspicious activity monitoring frameworks, AML regulations, and **end-to-end Actimize SAM platform implementation.**

The role demands a blend of regulatory understanding, product knowledge, cross-functional leadership, and solution design expertise to ensure successful execution of Transaction Monitoring platforms in accordance with global and local compliance mandates.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Actimize SAM Solution Design & Implementation**

Serve as the functional and strategic lead for Actimize SAM 9/10 platform delivery, including greenfield implementations, platform upgrades, scenario configuration, and migration projects.

Configure and implement NICE Actimize’s Suspicious Activity Monitoring (SAM 9/10) modules for global banking clients

Lead the design of TM scenarios (threshold-based, behavioral, typology-aligned) and rule calibration frameworks based on risk profiles, customer segmentation, product types, and geographies.

Design and oversee the SAM 10 uplift program strategy, including roadmap planning, platform readiness, and workflow optimization.

Define use cases, functional specs, and detection model requirements to drive scenario creation for retail, corporate, and private banking clients.

**2. Data Mapping & Detection Engine Readiness**

Own the data mapping and data model alignment for ingestion into Actimize detection engines.

Collaborate with data engineering teams to define ETL logic, source-to-target mappings, and data transformation rules for high-quality alert generation.

Validate critical AML attributes (KYC, customer behavior, transactional velocity, risk ratings) to ensure effective risk coverage.

**3. Business Analysis & Functional Leadership**

Conduct deep-dive workshops with stakeholders to elicit business needs and translate them into BRDs, FRDs, RTMs, and SDS documents.

Drive impact analysis for change requests, scenario changes, or platform enhancements.

Facilitate JAD sessions and play the bridge role between Compliance, Operations, Product, Development, and QA teams.

**4. UAT & Quality Oversight**

Define test case strategies, scenario validations, risk alignment matrices, and support UAT planning and execution.

Troubleshoot TM scenarios and alert generation inconsistencies by performing root cause analysis and working closely with development teams.

**5. Stakeholder Management & Governance**

Interact with global stakeholders including Compliance Officers, AML SMEs, FCC Program Managers, and Technical Architects to drive aligned decision-making.

Chair the TM Change Forum for platform enhancements, bringing together product owners, testing, development, environment, and operations stakeholders.

**6. Cross-Functional Coordination & Mentorship**

Work across multi-shore teams, mentoring junior analysts and consultants, while ensuring delivery of high-quality functional and technical assets.

Coordinate with NICE Actimize and client vendor teams for issue triage, patch management, scenario performance tuning, and solution reviews.

**Required Experience & Qualifications**:
**Must-Have**:

- Minimum 8 years in the BFSI domain, with 7+ years of experience in **AML Transaction Monitoring using Actimize.**
- Hands-on exposure to **SAM 9/SAM 10**, including scenario configuration, model behavior analysis, and workflow optimization.
- Strong command over AML typologies, red flags, SAR triggers, and jurisdiction-specific TM regulatory requirements (US, UK, APAC, EU).
- Deep familiarity with Actimize data model, SAM UI/RCM/AIS, and client-specific detection tuning strategies.
- Proven success in designing and executing SAM upgrade/migration strategies (e.g., from SAM 9.x to SAM 10).

**Preferred**:
**Certified in**:

- NICE Actimize - AML-SAM 9/10, RCM, AIS
- AML-KYC certification (IIBF or equivalent)
- Business Analysis - BrainBench or equivalent
- Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server) for validation, data checks, and scenario tuning.
- Experience working in environments using Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
- Hands-on with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Visio, and UML tools.
