Light Path Therapy Centre is seeking a freelance Speech and Language Therapist to join our team and provide specialized care for children with speech and language disorders.

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping children overcome communication challenges and reach their full potential.

At Light Path, therapists will have the opportunity to have their voices heard and be actively involved in shaping how the practice is run. We strive to create a sense of belonging, inclusion, and collaboration where all team members feel empowered to contribute and make an impact.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech and language disorders in children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs and goals of each child.
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to improve speech articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication skills.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to enhance speech and language development.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy and promote consistent progress.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate and train parents on strategies and techniques to support their child's communication development at home.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech therapy, incorporating new techniques and technologies into practice when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions and progress reports.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Proven experience working with children with speech and language disorders.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with children and their families.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a supportive and encouraging environment for children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
