**ROLE SUMMARY**
The Gallery Manager oversees the operations of the gallery.
The position would require you to oversee and manage the proper functioning of gallery facilities such as maintaining the art gallery facilities, inventory and administrative tasks, installation/deinstallation of artworks, as well as proper training and delegation of roles to staff. You are required to manage the commercial and marketing aspect of the gallery and its exhibits as well.
The role would require you to have good communication and organisational skills, be able to multitask efficiently and be able to forge good interpersonal working relationships with staff and clients.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Ensure systems and functions run smoothly, including human resource allocation, monitoring administration, website and social media management, inventory management, and checking the conditions of artworks
- Manage smooth operations of exhibitions, monitoring of installation and deinstallation, establishing deadlines for and monitoring design projects and creating of exhibition materials, and etc.
- welcoming guests and clients to the exhibition, quality-checking customer engagement and tours conducted by docents and inviting them to sign up to our mailing list
- Support the gallery's various events, programmes and functions taking place in the gallery or other venues
- Monitor proper management of client contact information
- Assist in coordination of Shipment
- Assist in handling Delivery Orders and Invoice drafting
- Maintaining and regulating gallery inventory of physical assets
- Maintaining and regulating comprehensive database system of gallery, including enforcement and monitoring standardised nomenclature, organisation and handling of new information and ensurement of correct classification and confidentiality of data within data storages
- Assist in the coordination of Logistics and arrangement of shipments
- Managing the budget for the gallery
- Liaising with vendors, distributors, printers, event/programme coordinators etc
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 3- 4 years of experience working in managerial roles/Admin roles
- Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
- Logistical problem-solving skills and practical thinking
- Open to learning new technology, software or equipment when needed for managing office process
- Moderate knowledge of art theory or open to learning about art theory where necessary
- Good spoken skills English and Mandarin
- Responsible and responsive (able to react quickly to requests and meet tight deadlines)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $3,000.00 - $4,500.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
