Singapore SPEARING EXECUTIVE SEARCH PTE. LTD. Full time

As Manager, Conventional Life & Health Reinsurance, you will spearhead our ongoing efforts to further develop the Malay insurance market and help our clients fulfill their growth and transformation ambitions.

You will have a special focus on Malaysia, where you will work closely with our technical expert teams (pricing, product development & innovation, underwriting & claims, data analytics) in our Singapore branch office to meet the needs of our clients and industry stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities include:

- Developing close relationships with your clients and industry stakeholders by providing them with high-quality services.
- Making sure that all client requests are addressed quickly and efficiently
- Providing regular updates on developments within the life and health insurance markets in the region.
- Acting as a trusted reinsurance expert and opinion leader among your colleagues as well as clients.
- Manage reinsurance quotation requests, including negotiation of commercial rates and terms and subsequent finalization of treaty wordings.
- Promote Munich Re’s services and propositions to existing and prospective clients.
- Keep abreast of market developments and identify new business opportunities.
- Establish and nurture professional relationships with industry and regulatory bodies.
- Active participation in marketing activities and industry functions (e.g. external conferences, internal seminars, workshops, specialist presentations, client training, technical publications).
- Build good relationships with our office in Kuala Lumpur.
- Role requires travel to Malaysia.

We're looking for:

- Driven, ambitious individual who is eager to make a real impact on the industry
- Experienced actuary who has 7+ years of experience at a direct life company, reinsurance company or related institution.
- Experience actualizing financial models and preparing actuarial reports and presentations
- Experience participating in risk management activities and reporting with analysis for financial planning processes
