Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Medical Strategy and Analytics Director, Asia Pacific to join our Medical Affairs team located in Asia Pacific.

Overall Purpose of Job:

- Responsible for supporting VP, AP MAF Head, in developing the AP MAF functional strategy and driving implementation of the functional strategy, to increase the competitiveness of MAF and to maximize impact of MAF as a valued strategic partner and trusted scientific leader, aligned to business strategy. This includes supporting the AP MAF Head/LT to develop and drive AP MAF G&Os, strategic priorities and performance expectations and to drive the MAF functional excellence across Regional and OpCo MAF teams.
- To develop, implement and track AP MAF performance expectations (metrics for key MAF activities and MAF functional dashboard), and report and communicate to internal stakeholders in partnership with local MAF teams and Business Insights & Analytics team, to improve the competitiveness of MAF across AP
- To drive resource and budget transparency and effective utilization across regional MAF team in line with MAF strategic priorities
- Accountable for optimizing and simplifying regional MAF policies and procedures and effective implementation and training of these governing MAF policies with a compliance culture

Support in AP Medical Affairs Strategy Development and Implementation
- Responsible for supporting VP, AP MAF Head, in developing the AP MAF functional strategy and driving implementation of the functional strategy to increase the competitiveness of MAF to maximize impact of MAF as a valued strategic partner and trusted scientific leader in alignment with MAF and business strategy.
- Support the AP MAF LT to develop and drive cross therapeutic G&Os, strategic priorities, MAF Purpose, and performance expectations.
- Support decision making among AP MAF LT and local OpCo MAF Heads by developing agenda and facilitating AP MAF LT and CMD meeting discussion
- Track progress of AP MAF LT and CMD top priorities and initiatives and implement shared goals, group charter and ways of working among this group senior leaders
- Organize AP MAF Town halls to drive communication and engagement on the strategic priorities

AP Medical Affairs performance metrics and analytics
- To develop, implement and track AP MAF performance expectations ((metrics for key MAF activities and MAF functional dashboard), and report and communicate to internal stakeholders in partnership with local MAF teams and Business Insights & Analytics team, to improve the competitiveness of MAF
- To work with Business Insights & Analytics team (and external vendor) to understand the industry benchmark of the competitiveness of MAF, and then support AP MAF Head/LT and CMDs to develop solutions to drive AP MAF as the Best-in-Industry MAF team
- Review regional MAF team’s project progress against plans, implement metrics as required to track MAF activities and ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Drive resource and budget utilization within regional MAF team in line with MAF strategic priorities during yearly business planning and quarterly budget tracking

Optimizing and simplifying regional MAF policies and procedures
- Ensure that quality and compliance are top of mind for all AP MAF staff and that AP MAF is always audit-ready
- Develop, simply and keep up to date regional SOPs, procedures and ensure MAF colleagues are well trained on them
- Support the regional MAF team in the event of an investigation, audit or inspection related to regional MAF activities and assist in the generation of CAPAs as required
- Liaise with global teams on global systems such as iMEDICAL Review and align on enhancements with global counterparts
- Ensure safety reporting requirements as set out in company policies and SOPs are updated, met and appropriately managed when planning and executing projects, developing materials and contracting with vendors
- Ensure HCC and Legal requirements are fully understood, appropriately managed and complied with when planning and executing projects, developing materials and contracting with vendors

**Qualifications**:

- University degree in health sciences, business or equivalent is required
- An advanced degree in science or business is preferred
- Business transformation, project management and/or process excellence skills are required
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D, Medical Affairs, or a related function within the Pharmaceutical industries is required
- Fundamental knowledge of regulatory affairs, drug safety and pharmacovigilance, healthcare compliance, study planning and execution is expected
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and outstanding leadership skills are expected
- Ability to lead through change and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills and superior attention to detail, accuracy and deadlines
