Working as part of the new and expanding Global Quality function, you will be responsible to build the Asia Quality team focusing on building strong partnership with the Spares and Service Business Unit and their Asia Suppliers. This role will take a proactive approach in providing guidance, advice and actions required on Quality related situation to our Spares and Services Suppliers. You will also take the lead in the identification of any quality issues with suppliers at the initial stage, with the end goal to ensure that we are providing quality materials in the manufacturing of our semiconductor equipment.Working as part of the new and expanding Global Quality function, you will be responsible to build the Asia Quality team focusing on building strong partnership with the Spares and Service Business Unit and their Asia Suppliers. **Responsibilities**
- Leading a global team of 4-6 supplier quality engineers in Asia (Singapore, Japan, Korea, Taiwan)
- Driving the team to detect, investigate, lead and driving down complex supplier issues surrounding the build and installation of complex electro-mechanical capital equipment.
- Support and drive the Supplier Development programs and audits/assessments that drive quality ownership into the supply base
- Develop and deploy supplier management and continuous improvement programs including monitoring of the efforts by the team
- Ensure that the team is reviewing incoming quality inspection metrology including first Article inspection and prepare a plan to minimize inspections by augmenting supplier responsibilities and capabilities
- Ensure that resolving production (line fallout) / field complaints/escalation on material quality issues including Failure analysis and issuing SCAR (8D)
- Monitor, track and verification of closure of all supplier issues including Corrective and Preventive actions

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Science or its equivalent
- Minimum 10+ years in an engineering role within a large international technology company
- Minimum 5 years operating as a Supplier Quality Engineer
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership capacity
- Experience in reading and understanding geometric tolerance and interpret complicated electromechanical drawings
- Strong experience interacting with suppliers at a detailed engineering level with proven quality results
- Extensive success with 8D problem solving methodology
- Proficient in Statistical Methods
- Experience working in a fortune 500 or Large Cap company
- Excellent communication and writing skills a must
- Ability to analyze large data sets with Business Objects (or similar tool) to extract trends and pinpoint data patterns
- Ability to use JMP statistical so
