**Job Title**:Senior Software Engineer

**Location**:Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park (Hybrid)

**Business & Team**

Ops Tech - Enterprise Services (ES)

**Impact & contribution**

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Develop the minor enhancements in Oracle DB and Java
- Effectively manage relationships and communications with project stakeholders, including business and delivery teams
- Contribute to DevSecOps changes and help the engineering chapter towards higher DevSecOps maturity
- Act as a role model by consistently displaying leadership behaviour that encourages productive working relationships and a strong performance culture
- Monitor emerging technologies, industry developments, directions, and best practices.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Bank policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with programmers and other IT staff and non IT functional areas
- Analysing systems to provide system support and recommendations for development.
- Advising on corrective actions actions required to fix business critical systems (code, databases, reference data, interfaces, security implementation, framework)
- To understand, coach and ensure best design and quality software practices.

**Essential Skills**:

- 10 years + of development experience in Oracle and Java
- Strong database development skills
- Strong data modelling skills
- 4+ years’ experience in developing and optimizing database components like procedure, functions, views etc(any database)
- Hands on experience in agile framework
- Experience in development and collaboration tools like GIT, Jira, Confluence.
- Good experience in working in a large team environment with multiple code branches and merges
- Good understanding of enterprise solutions and architecture
- Excellent object-oriented analysis and design skills and system integration skill
- Excellent executive communication & presentation

**Education Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
