As part of the Safety Management Team under the Engineering & Development Cluster, you will be responsible in overseeing the safe execution of works of engineering construction, operations and maintenance in Singapore Changi Airport. You will also be responsible for putting into place an organisational framework that would facilitate various divisions of Engineering & Development Cluster and other users concerned to realise the SMS objectives and requirements effectively and adequately, including mechanisms to address safety feedback from users. On top of that, you are required to convey safety requirements through relevant platforms and solicit feedback from staff on the status of their safety management efforts.

You are also expected to conduct regular inspections and to advise contractors on Aviation and WSH risk and environmental control, providing our airport partners with recommendations and/or suggestions to mitigate such risk. You will also be required to take up secretariat functions in monthly Safety Working Committee. In addition, this role will necessitate you to update, maintain and ensure the continuous execution of Engineering & Development Cluster’s safety management system and relevant safety manual and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular reviews on internal safety policies and practices to ensure that they are current, appropriate and compliant to legislation and international aviation safety standards;
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments to change existing, or develop new recommendations from these assessments;
- Review risk assessments and work method statement submitted by internal CAG stakeholders and/or contractors ensuring that foreseeable risk are addressed;
- Drive and implement all applicable WSH and aviation regulations;
- Partake in CAAS AAR Aviation audits and ISO 45001 audits;
- Conduct internal audits on contractors to ensure compliance to applicable legislative requirements and CAG’s procedures and work requirements;
- Develop, revise and control amendments to the cluster’s WSH and Aviation Safety Manuals, Policies, Procedures and forms;
- Investigation of accidents/incidents working with the contractors on corrective/preventive measures and to ensure that proper records are completed and submitted;
- Provide internal safety training to members of the Engineering & Development Cluster;
- Monitor and track safety training status of members of the Engineering & Development Cluster;
- Responsible for the continuous implementation of ISO 45001 certification;
- Assist to review and implement cluster business continuity plans, working with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless and smooth airport operations;
- Prepare submissions for relevant safety awards;
- Engagements with WSH Council, BCA, MOM, CAAS, etc

**Job Requirements**:

- Good degree in Engineering / Science discipline related to Workplace Safety and Health
- At least 5 year experience in workplace safety and health in either a construction or facilities management industry
- Strong technical knowledge in field of engineering.
- Good analytical thinking ability, qualitative/quantitative and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good team player, self-motivated with strong ability to multi-task and able to handle fast-paced projects.
- Well-versed in Singapore Standard for WSH management systems SS45001, and local WSH legislations and codes
- Demonstrate knowledge of and practical experience with Singapore’s Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental regulatory requirements.
