Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description:
**The Challenges**
- Perform technical duties under the supervision of pharmacists to ensure safe, efficient, and timely distribution of drugs in NUH.
- Assist the Senior Pharmacist in charge to provide supervision to pharmacy support staff and to coordinate activities within a section to ensure smooth workflow and continuous improvement.
- Dispense outpatient prescriptions, discharge prescriptions, and inpatient supplies to patients independently according to department policies and guidelines.
- Answer simple drug enquiries from doctors and nurses.
- Obtain stocks from different pharmacy sections in the hospital, at times after office hours.
Job Requirements:
**The Requirements**
- Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) OR Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science preferred
- At least 5 years of Pharmacy Technician experience in local healthcare settings preferred
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Able to communicate and function effectively as member of a team
- Able to prioritize and organize work well
- Able to work different shifts (morning, evening and night) up to 12 hours per shift, and on weekends and public holidays
- Willing to be put on standby and activated for work as part of the A&E Pharmacy team.
