**Job Description/Overview**:
We are looking for a motivated Trade Finance Analyst to support our commodities trading business and assist with the financing of transactions. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse range of businesses within a fast-growing, US-based global commodity merchant trading company that is actively expanding its trade flows across APAC—including metals, oil, carbon, power, and LNG—and has recently acquired a global soft commodities platform. The role will be based in the Singapore office and will report to our Trade Finance Manager in Asia, interfacing with a dynamic and growing network of banking relationships while developing a strong foundation in trade finance operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in structuring and managing trade finance transactions, involving in different financing exposure including letters of credit, guarantees, invoice financing, LC discounting/confirmation, receivables discounting (supply chain finance), inventory financing, working capital facilities, trade finance optimization etc.
- Monitor cash flows, payment schedules, and financing requirements for active trades.
- Assist in on-boarding of new banks to support the business growth plans of traders.
- Participating in the training of junior team members when necessary.
- Collaborate with traders, operations, settlement and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of deals.
- Conduct market research and analysis on trade finance trends, regulations, and banking products.
- Maintain accurate records and assist in preparing reports for internal stakeholders.Being a team player for coverage of the treasury function when necessary.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a Finance or Economic discipline.
- 3-5 years in trade finance at a commodity trading firm, with a preference for prior metals-related experience.
- This role involves communication with US and China-based banks / vendors; proficiency in English and Mandarin is required to facilitate effective collaboration.
- Ability to establish a good communication network to keep informed about various stages of trade flow during the life cycle of a trade with proactive mindset.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility, able to work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willing to learn and grow career in Trade Finance.
