Pipe Fitter X10

Fits and assembles structural frameworks and pipes according to drawings and specifications.
- Carries out fitting workmanship that meets Company’s and clients’ standards and requirements.
- Lays out parts dimensions.
- Positions parts in jig; files, chisels and grind parts to fit together as required.
- Heats parts with acetylene torch and bend them in vise, on anvil or around stakes mounted on table.
- Heats parts with acetylene torch and dip them in a bath to harden them.
- Fastens parts together with acetylene torch and brazing rod.
- Maintains productivity of the fitting work to be consistently equal to the Company’s and clients’ established productivity requirements and as defined by work instructions.
- Keeps all fitting equipment and tools in well maintained condition.
- Follows all safety regulations, safe work practices and precautions on site / in the yard.
- Carries out instructions given by Site Supervisor, Quality Assurance & Control Inspector on WSHE measures & practices.
- Reports all unsafe acts / unsafe work environment to foreman / supervisor immediately.
- Completes Job Hazard Checklist at site together with site supervisor.
- Attends relevant WSHE training required for the work and informs site supervisor if finds he is not competent to perform certain tasks.
- Complies with Zero Tolerance on Consequence Management (No Permit No Work, Confine Space Unauthorized Entry, LOTO Tampering and 100% Tie Off - Working at Height).
- Participates actively in weekly mass briefing conducted every Thursday for the latest WSHE sharing matters.
- Participates actively in Emergency Evacuation Drills conducted at site.
- Participates actively in safety and health promotion activities.
- Practises good housekeeper by cleaning up work area and keeping tools & equipment after work is completed.
