- Participating in safety meetings and drills as required
- Understanding and carrying out their duties during the assigned shift onboard and as directed by the immediate line manager according to _“_Our Commitments_” _and PXGEO procedures.
- Carrying out the daily tasks as directed and maintaining the high professional standards of the Instrument Department
- Systematically working to reduce and minimize downtime.
- Following the department planned maintenance routines during the assigned shift.
- Actively and systematically seeking and suggesting improvements and innovations.
- Supporting the _“_Explore Green_” _initiatives and actively considering the environmental impact and helping ensure any residual impacts are mitigated accordingly.
- Ensuring that all waste generated from the daily work practices is recorded, minimized, reduced, re-used, or recycled.
- Supporting the training and mentoring of junior department personnel or trainees
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of supplies as directed
- Assisting in stowing and securing all supplies accordingly and as directed
- Providing input to task risk assessments related to the Instrument Department
- Supporting EHS audits as mandated by PXGEO policy and as directed by the Chief Towed Streamer Observer
- Ensuring their behavior and work ethics meet PXGEO requirements.
- Following the onboard chain of command structure and duties assigned under the Station Bill.
- Maintaining the Instrument Department filing system in accordance with the standard set forth by the PXGEO
