Photonic Chip Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced **Photonic Chip Design Engineer (芯片设计工程师)**to lead the design and optimization of advanced silicon photonic integrated circuits. You will be responsible for photonic device layout, simulation, PDK creation, and tape-out coordination. This role requires strong collaboration with foundries and R&D teams to accelerate the development of high-performance optical components for next-generation communication systems.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design, simulate, and optimize silicon photonic chips, including layout, process definition, and performance modeling.
- Develop photonic device architectures such as GeSi photodetectors, MZIs, VOAs, and waveguide splitters.
- Collaborate with foundries on tape-out execution and fabrication process integration.
- Support experimental testing by analyzing results, refining designs, and validating performance metrics.
- Build and maintain PDKs to streamline the development cycle.
**Job Requirements**:
- 5+ years of industrial experience in photonic chip design, layout, and process integration preferred.
- Skilled in simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, Phoenix) and TCAD platforms (e.g., Sentaurus, Silvaco).
- Proficient in layout design using IPKISS or equivalent photonic EDA tools.
- Deep understanding of CMOS fabrication and photonic tape-out workflows.
- Strong data-driven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication for cross-functional and external coordination.
