**Job Overview**

Established for over 40 years, Continental Steel is a premier steel supplier in South East Asia. We are looking to hire an operator with experience in operating and maintenance of steel wire drawing equipment in Singapore.

**Responsibilities**:

- Pre-Production _
- Preparation for setting up of new Steel Fibre production facility (“Facility”) to produce Steel Fibres (“Product”).
- Coordinating with external and internal stakeholders like equipment manufacturers, ancillary equipment contractors and Management Team to ensure timely set up of the Facility.
- Preparation for optimal production flow and logistics to ensure smooth production.
- Planning for requirements of consumables like raw material, dies and lubricants, etc.
- Assisting with the assembly and installation of Facility and ancillary equipment.
- Production _
- Operation of steel wire drawing equipment and steel fibre equipment to manufacture Product.
- Optimising the usage of raw material and consumables like wire rod, dies and lubricants to achieve maximum efficiency in production.
- Assist in the preparation of Manufacturing Procedure Specification (MPS) and Quality Control Plan (QCP) for the different Product types.
- Assist in Maintenance Plan for the Facility.
- Assist with testing of Products and identifying changes necessary to achieve Product requirements.
- Assist administration team in preparation of marketing information for the Products - Technical Specifications, Packaging design, etc.
- Assist in maintaining and replenishing raw material and consumables levels to ensure adequate supplies are available for production.
- Optimise production runs/shifts to ensure that operation is running smoothly and efficiently.
- Working closely with the sales team to minimize gaps between delivery requirements and production planning capacity.
- Requirements _
- Secondary 4, GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ levels or ITE in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics) is preferred.
- Experience with operating steel wire drawing equipment.
- Experience with operating butt welding equipment to join wires.
- Knowledge of consumables used in wire drawing operations like dies, pressure dies, calcium/sodium-based lubricants, etc
