Singapore LINDE GAS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. Full time

The Lab Technician / Chemist will be responsible for conducting chemical analyses on process samples, maintaining and calibrating analytical instruments, utilizing the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), complying with ISO requirement (when required), and drafting and/or updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the process plant at Linde Singapore Jurong Island Site. Role is expected to provide critical lab support for the reliable operation of the integrated plant operation.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- **Perform chemical analyses**
- On process samples including, liquid, gas and oil samples.
- Using various analytical techniques such as GC, IC, ICP-OES, CHNS, TOC, COD etc.
- Including sample preparation, analysis, and reporting.
- **Ensure timely and accurate results**
- Work closely with Process and Operation department in coordinating samples.
- Engage with Operation Technicians for data entry into LIMS when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other team members.
- **Maintenance of analytical instruments**
- Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments
- Troubleshoot any issues (with vendor support as needed.
- Keep accurate records of instrument maintenance and calibration.
- **Utilize Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)**
- For sample tracking, data management, and quality control procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry into the LIMS and generate reports as required.
- Support LIMS implementation including testing and training of technicians.
- **Ensure compliance with ISO requirements**
- For laboratory procedures, documentation, and record-keeping.
- **Participate in internal and external audits and inspections as required.**
- Communicate effectively with other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
- **Draft and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)**

- For waste management practices.
- **Ensure good housekeeping in the laboratory.**
- **Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements.**

- **Any other task assigned related to the lab activities supporting the plant operation.**

**Required Qualifications/Experience**:

- Minimum Diploma in chemical-related field with at least 3 years of laboratory experience.
- A degree in Chemistry related field with lesser working experience will also be considered.
- Experience with Labware 8 LIMS is an advantage.
- Experience with gas, wastewater and oil testing will be advantageous
