Manufacturing Process Technician

Position Summary:
The individual is responsible for executing operational activities, and autonomous maintenance (TPM) activities, including the cleaning, setup, and operation of a variety of equipment in compliance with cGMP, quality & safety requirements to achieve operational objectives. The individual is also required to conduct training for new employees and lead a small team to meet production target at a specific area.

Position Responsibilities:
- Complete required training (e.g. cGMP, safety and work instructions, Autonomous and/or Operational Maintenance (AM/OM), etc.) within a stipulated time frame- Execute tasks strictly following cGMP, Quality, Safety and Work instruction requirements.- Ensure employees follow safety, quality requirement, and all applicable company policies at all times.- Undertake safe and correct handling of tools in accordance to their intended use and operating procedures to complete planned schedule for Equipment Maintenance.- Interpret engineering safety and safeguarding practices.- Able to read and interpret a Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) with guidance.- Identify types of hazards at workplace.- Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain cleanliness (6S) of the working area.- Able to use problem identification techniques to recognize issues within work area and escalate any concerns- Meet daily production schedule, performance expectation and equipment efficiency, factoring in equipment availability- Able to take on additional tasks or responsibilities when required.- Competent to complete routine tasks in assigned group, including all relevant autonomous management activities, with some supervision.- Able to support troubleshooting on common issues associated to product, process and equipment.- Improvement work:
- Participate in process improvement team within the same shift.Incident investigation and reporting:
- Assist in incident investigation.-
- Able to provide a general written account on the overview of the incident with broad supervision.-
- Work in a team to meet daily production target under some supervision.-
- Be a role model for junior members.

Position Requirements:
- Have a good understanding of Manufacturing/ Enterprise systems/ Manufacturing IOT and automations.- Ensure compliance with cGMP, Quality, work safety instructions & practices at all times.- Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner.- High level of discipline and integrity.- Able to undertake multiple tasks.- Able to undergo job rotation/cross training.- Able to work in a manufacturing production environment, including cleanroom, with possible exposure to chemical, cold room, loud noise, etc.- Able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required.- Able to operate equipment and machinery such as forklift, scanner, power tools, etc.- Must be able to identify different colors for work purposes. In Illumina, we handle components/chemicals with different colors, and it is necessary to be able to differentiate and identify the correct components/chemicals (using visual) during operation.- Possess a positive attitude and sense of urgency.- Meticulous, keen attention to details and organized.-
- Able to work standing for a prolonged periods of time without sitting.- Able to lift 15kg or less of heavy weight safely.

Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:
- Minimum 6 years of operations experience for Secondary School or 4 years of operations experience for ‘O’ Level or equivalent.- 2-3 years of experience for Higher NITEC or equivalent.- Diploma graduate or equivalent with relevant Engineering qualification and 1 year of operations experience.- Experience in GMP controlled manufacturing/production environment.- Knowledge in automation / IOT / Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) will have added advantage- Prior training experienced preferred.

For Formulation team only- Education major in Science stream.- Experience in Biochemistry
