[What the role is]
The Singapore Botanic Gardens is a premier botanical institution and the only tropical garden to be inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has an extensive collection of plants, including orchids, gingers, palms, cycads and many heritage trees which reflect its 160-year history

[What you will be working on]
You will support the plant resource manager in the management of the plant nursery in the Singapore Botanic Gardens, including the growing of various plant collections in the nursery, propagation of plants through various methods, proper documentation and management of the plant inventory. You will also help in the conservation of Singapore native species through regular seed collections for propagation or re-introduction, as part of reforestation and seed exchange.

You will also contribute to the various public outreach programmes and activities in a public garden, including educational outreach, horticultural shows and corporate or social activities.

[What we are looking for]
- Diploma in Horticulture, Botany, Plant Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Biotechnology or related field
- A hands-on person, enjoys outdoor work and a love for plants.
- A good team player and interested in developing current knowledge of plant conservation.
- Good organizational, communication and supervisory skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
