To advise occupier or any person in-charge on measures to be taken for Safety & health.
- Inspect personally or direct assistant to inspect on behalf of any types of machinery, tools & equipment, work processes which are of such natures that liable to cause risk of injury to persons employed.
- Discuss findings with supervisor or coordinator to take corrective action on non-compliances and notify the persons in charge.
- To investigate all reportable accident, dangerous occurrence and industrial disease.
- To identify the root cause of the accident, take the corrective action and implement measures to prevent a recurrence.
- Ensure corrective/ preventive action taken and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Organize campaigns, training, competitions, contest and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the persons employed.
- To maintain and monitor the achievement of a safe & healthy working environment.
- Act as the secretary of the safety committee and assist the chairman in planning the functions of the safety committee.
- Without the chairman, preside at all meetings of the safety committee.

**Requirements**:

- In-depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures.
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
- Familiar with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
- Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus organizational skills and meticulous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
- A good degree/diploma in Safety and/or MOM registered Safety Officer.
- Certificate in occupational health and safety.
- Qualifications in Behavioural Based Safety qualifications.
