Scientist - Physics, Senior to Advisor (Acoustic)

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct research and development on acoustic logging tools for well integrity evaluation, reservoir monitoring, or formation evaluation.
- Development of acoustic array processing algorithms.
- Numerical modeling of transducer responses and wave propagations in borehole environment.
- Development of software/packages for acoustic signal processing, and borehole acoustic simulations including related multi-physics.
- Collaborating with team members and providing necessary support for technology transfer.
**Required Education and Skills**
- A Ph.D. (or equivalent qualification) in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Geophysics, or related background.
- 4+ years of experience as an academic or industrial technical contributor with established records.
- Demonstrated experience or knowledge in acoustics or geophysical signal processing (seismic, distributed fibre sensing, ground penetrating radar, remote sensing).
- Previous experience with development of acoustic surverying/downhole logging tool and technology is highly desirable.
- Possess skills of numerical analysis and coding in Matlab and Python. Experience with C/C++ is highly preferred.
- Experience in high-performance computing (CPU and GPU parallelization) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to conceive of and develop creative/innovative technology.
- Demonstrated teamwork, strong communication skills, and collaborative in complex projects.**Halliburton is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
