Note: We are open to different Engineering levels for this position; Engineer, SR Engineer, Principal Engineer, SMTS.

As a Photolithography Overlay Engineer in Micron's Technology Development Group, you will be responsible for understanding technical challenges in overlay for current Micron memory parts in development and establishing projects to address them for the current and future parts. In this position, you will work with Micron engineers, technology partners and vendors to develop overlay solutions to meet device requirements for next-generation semiconductors, and ultimately provide technology transfers to Micron’s worldwide manufacturing network.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- On top of critical module overlay performance of the line, identify performance gap and define solutions.
- Understand automation system related to overlay control.
- Work with process development owners, scanner development team, and process integration to define hardware/software requirement that are needed for overlay.
- Define alignment and overlay metrology marks based on process flow. Support the scribe need for part tape out
- Summarize plans, progress to existing experimental work, and concluded work in the form of written reports.
- Standardize methods and procedures across area, department and/or FABs
- Attend necessary area and part type meetings to understand the part, and look for areas where photo can contribute to improving overlay.
- Escalate, as required, to management issues with overlay support and resources related to PI, vendors, Central Teams, HVM and other process development teams within TD.

**Qualifications for this position include**:

- Understanding of semiconductor processing and structure.
- Strong aptitude for research and development and ability to create production-worthy technologies.
- Ability to develop and maintain relations with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
- Proficient in statistics, data analysis, data modeling, Design of Experiments (DOE).

**Education**
M.S./Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics or relevant area of study to Lithography, or BS in Engineering, Physics or relevant area of study to Lithography, plus five years of experience.
