The Collins Innovation Hub is seeking a robotics engineer for an automation projects development role. He/She will be responsible for the design, programming and setup of industrial and collaborative robots, actuators, sensors, safety and other automation systems where required to further the project.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Successful applicants will work with the Collins Aerospace IET team to develop robotic and automation technologies for use in Manufacturing and MRO operations.
- Working with an interdisciplinary team members and with stakeholders, participate in design and development of automation systems of the company’s Industry 4.0 implementation.
- Work in a cross-functional team to identify opportunities for implementation of advanced technology, in line with business strategy of the company to modernize aerospace manufacturing and MRO operations.
- Design, develop, build and test mechanical automation components, assemblies and structures, including CAD models and working prototypes for demonstration.
- Project execution including hardware analysis, manufacturing support, design engineering and testing for components that may include pneumatic, hydraulic and servo-actuated systems.

**REQUIREMENT**
- Bachelor’s Degree or Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical engineering.
- Proficient with PLC and HMI programming (Allen-Bradley or Omron preferred).
- Proficient with 6-axis robot programming (Fanuc preferred) and a variety of end effectors.
- Familiar with vision systems for robotic guidance.
- Familiar with Lean manufacturing concepts.
- Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology will be a plus.
