Assistant Quality Engineer

Singapore NTI MEMTECH PTE. LTD. Full time

a) Assist R&D Manager in product quality consistency improvement, new product development and product improvement with the aim of mass production with consistent quality by carrying out experiments, testing and analysis.

b) Assist Production Manager to ensure in-process product as well as end-product quality meets requirement by performing experiments for membrane characterization and evaluation.

c) Assist R&D Manager in relevant research and development by carrying our experiments and literature reviews;
d) Carry out qualification tests and analysis for raw materials;
e) Follow procedures to identify deviations from quality specifications and standards;
f) Maintenance and calibration of lab equipment as assigned;
g) Keep accurate documentation of product related data and perform analysis, compile test results and reports to respective supervisor(s) ;
h) Be familiar with and involved in various production stages (membrane fibre spinning, potting etc.) ;
i) Work as a team to implement and check specifications for membrane products and production processes ;
j) Ensure adherence to health and safety requirements and procedures ;
k) Participate in QHSE management system activities and processes;
l) Carry out related works as and when assigned by the company.

**Requirements**:
1. Good Knowledge of chemistry and chemicals, preferably with the relevant certificate/s, which may include polytechnic Diploma in Engineering/Science (Chemical or Material), Chemistry or equivalent technical certification;
2. Able to carry out calibration and maintenance of testing equipment, maintain good laboratory housekeeping;
3. Familiar or skilled in handling SEM/EDX/FTIR and other laboratory equipment;
4. Safety awareness, self-driven and meticulous, good communication skills, team spirit and readiness to develop new skills.
