Associate / Specialist Teacher

Academia is looking to hire Associate and Specialist Teachers to develop intellectual and rigorous local-global learning resources in the disciplines of English, General Paper and the Liberal Arts.

**Responsibilities**
- Deliver physical or online lessons in a professional manner and efficiently manage students in a classroom setting
- Mark and review students' work
- Be a part of the Curriculum Team at Academia and be involved in developing engaging educational content to be delivered in print and/or digital platforms alongside the main curriculum, should the individual be presented with the opportunity to do so, or expresses the desire to explore it within reasonable constraints.

**Profile and background**
- A strong background and proficiency with English language is most important.
- Graduated with a degree in Humanities and Social Sciences. English or English Literature majors are especially welcome but not absolutely required.
- Diploma holders in Early Childhood Education or Education are also welcomed.
- Possessing good work ethics and being able to effectively communicate with other teachers and manage expectations with your fellow teachers, parents and students.
- Willingness and ability to work on 1 weekend (due to the nature of the tuition industry) Prefered working schedule: Tuesdays to Saturdays or Sundays to Thursdays
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively with other teachers to synthesise and improve content and research materials from various sources
- Creativity, meticulousness and rigor should be deployed when developing educational content, in line with the high standards of the organisation

**Salary**: $3,200.00 - $4,500.00 per month
