**Job Title: Cost Controller**
**Overview**:
The Cost Controller will collaborate closely with internal technical teams, external technical managers, and the finance/accounting team. This role provides leadership exposure and offers engagement with various internal and external stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review monthly and quarterly cost reports.
- Perform financial analysis on vessel-related cost and capital expenditures.
- Lead cost review meetings with the internal technical team and external technical managers.
- Ensure accurate cost capture in collaboration with the accounting team, including preparation of cost and capital expenditure entries.
- Ensure timely funding for external technical managers.
- Maintain regular communication with Technical Managers.
- Conduct quarterly cost reviews with the Head of Technical.
- Monitor and review site team expenses for newbuilding projects.
- Coordinate with joint venture partners on cost and newbuilding-related matters.
- Drive process improvements and enhance workflow efficiencies.
- Act as process owner for cost-controlling measures in line with compliance requirements.
- Support internal audits to ensure procedural adherence.
- Assist in external audits, including compliance and statutory financial audits.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Lead the Cost Controlling team.
- Manage stakeholders and collaborate with relevant department heads, internal technical teams, external technical managers, and joint venture partners.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Maritime Studies.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in cost controlling, vessel accounting, or financial analysis.
- Experience in the maritime or shipping industry is preferred.
