Middleware Administrator

**Role Overview**:
We are seeking a highly skilled Middleware Administrator with 5-6 years of experience to manage, optimize, and maintain our database and middleware environments. This role focuses on performance tuning, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and infrastructure capacity planning, with emphasis on Oracle middleware technologies, including WebLogic, Fusion Middleware, and JVM. Awareness of modern architecture principles and container technologies is preferred.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Database Administration**:

- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c).
- Develop and implement robust backup and recovery solutions using RMAN or equivalent tools.
- Perform database upgrades, patching, and migrations.Ensure database security, including user access controls and encryption.

**2. Performance Tuning and Optimization**:

- Monitor and analyze database performance using tools like AWR, ADDM, TKPROF, and OEM.
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues in SQL queries, PL/SQL code, and database architecture.Optimize middleware components (WebLogic and Fusion Middleware) and JVM configurations for enhanced performance.

**3. Infrastructure Capacity Planning**:

- Assess and forecast infrastructure requirements for database and middleware tiers to ensure scalability and reliability.Collaborate with stakeholders to design infrastructure strategies aligning with business growth and performance goals.

**4. Middleware Management**:

- Administer Oracle WebLogic Server and Fusion Middleware environments, including installation, configuration, and patching.
- Tune and monitor JVMs for stability and performance.Troubleshoot and resolve middleware-related issues, ensuring high availability.

**5. System Architecture Awareness**:

- Understand and contribute to the architecture of the database, WebLogic middleware, and reporting tiers.Collaborate with architects to align database and middleware configurations with overall system architecture.

**6. Linux System Administration**:

- Perform basic Linux administration tasks, such as log analysis, system monitoring, and shell scripting for automation.
- Use tools like sar, vmstat, and iostat for troubleshooting and performance analysis.

**Required Skills**:

- **Database Administration**:Strong experience with Oracle Database (19c/23ai)
- **Performance Tuning**:Proficiency in AWR, ADDM, TKPROF, SQL*Trace, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- **Middleware Expertise**:Hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic Server, Fusion Middleware, and JVM tuning.
- **Infrastructure Planning**:Experience in forecasting and scaling infrastructure to support database and middleware growth.
- **Linux Skills**:Basic administration skills, including performance analysis using tools like sar, iostat, and vmstat.
- **Scripting**:Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, WLST and bash/shell scripting for automation.
- **Troubleshooting**:Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving database, middleware, and infrastructure issues.
- **System Architecture**:Awareness of architecture principles for database, middleware, and reporting tiers.
- **DevOps**:GIT, Bash, Jenkins, Docker, JIRA, Confluence

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Awareness of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of high-availability solutions like RAC and Data Guard.
- Experience with monitoring and analytics tools for system performance and capacity tracking.
