Our client is a prestigious, world-renowned real money, cross asset-class fund manager, successfully managing an institutional portfolio of assets of more than several hundred billion.

Due to organic growth, they are looking to hire a Head of Equity Quant Strategy, and as such, the position represents an incredible, once in a career opportunity for someone to utilise their complete buy-side tool kit, including global equities knowledge, portfolio construction experience, and other macro exposure as it applies to equity indices.

The successful person should have a broad skill set in equity quant research, leading a team, and possess a demonstrated bottom-up quant analysis skill set. The role is based in APAC and will inherit a small team of portfolio construction and macro driven Equity strategists, plus other equity development analysts covering equity portfolio construction and the other quant research. Amongst other things, this person will oversee.
- Validate investment hypothesis and co-develop opportunistic investment strategies across global equity indices
- Quantify portfolio risks and provide portfolio construction recommendations
- Monitor asset movements, identify market trends, and provide insights
- Mentor junior quantitative strategists in systematic/quant strategy development
