The Project Owner (PO) simultaneously leads multiple CCUS agile workflows and teams to conceptualize, develop and commercialize new CCUS opportunities across the value chain for target customer segments in one or more Asia Pacific nations. The PO is accountable for strategic alignment within Chevron New Energies and the rest of the enterprise, as well as customer value realization & fit.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Identification, prioritization and assessment of Carbon Capture, Transport, Utilization and Sequestration, opportunities,- For the portfolio of projects under the PO’s leadership, enable project team delivery by (i) overseeing the prioritization of project goals, (ii) enrolling the right resources, i.e., people, processes, partners, and technologies, and (iii) quickly removing barriers and providing real-time decision making.- Manage and continuously prioritize the agile backlog across the PO’s portfolio of projects to ensure optimal speed and value delivery.- Stay highly attuned via Commercial Coordinators to customer needs and potential changes, impacts & trends, incorporating customer feedback and evolving end-user needs into new project activity. Knowledge & Experience with Carbon Capture, Utilization and Sequestration technology and associated value chains are highly desirable. Additionally previous experiences with all phases of project development and execution are extremely valuable.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.-
- Minimum 5 years product management, product development and/or equivalent project management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in relevant field- 6+ years product management and/or project management experience
Selection Criteria:
Opportunity Framing: Skilled in early concept opportunity framing. Able to distil the essence of ambiguous new opportunities, articulate the potential value proposition to Chevron, and propose workable structures to realize the value.
Relationship Building for Opportunity Development: Skilled at building trusting relationships outside of the company, in particular with co-developers, but also with government ministries / agencies, and other external partners/stakeholders. Role model behaviours with encouraging cooperation and teamwork across our internal organizations and Functions.
Building Vision and Value Proposition: Demonstrated ability to develop a vision and action the vision, thinking beyond the status quo of existing capabilities, customers, and markets. Ability to rapidly learn CCUS regional landscape including market dynamics and regulatory impacts. Ability to clearly prioritize projects based on value to the business in this ecosystem.
Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
