Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager, experienced working with strategic partners in a visible, externally-facing role. You’ll work directly with our strategic Android partners’ product, technical and business development teams to build highly-differentiated and engaging Spotify experiences in their hardware and operating systems. You’ll be passionate about user growth and product experience, especially in emerging markets such as India, South East Asia and Latin America. Excellent storytelling skill - both written and verbal is required along with the ability to influence both partners and internal squads to deliver in line with Spotify’s strategic plans.
As part of a globally distributed, cross functional team, you'll excel at asynchronous and autonomous work practices so that you can take start-to-finish accountability for the opportunity space - and make it your own Success will be demonstrated through your ownership leading to direct impact on user growth, engagement and retention for this important group of users.
What You'll Do
- Develop close working collaborations with top Android device manufacturers to craft outstanding product experiences for millions of people in emerging markets
- Work hands-on, asynchronously and autonomously to lead Spotify’s product investments with our Android partnerships
- Represent Spotify’s direction and strategic priorities to partners and connect the dots between Spotify and partners’ strategies to identify new opportunities
- Ship and iterate product integrations with partners that grow Spotify adoption and consumption at scale
- Collaborate with business development and legal teams, along with your tech, insights and design counterparts
- Define and represent the strategy for your space to band members across Spotify
Who You Are
- Experienced as a Product Manager, particularly in consumer experience, growth or user activation initiatives
- Flexibility with working hours to align with partners in APAC and India, as well as colleagues in Europe. You’ll also be open to travel to meet these teams in person occasionally
- You’ll have experience working with partners. You know how to ‘read the room’, sell the product value Spotify brings to partnerships, and be aware of partners’ goals while ensuring Spotify also benefits
- An excellent communicator and storyteller in English - verbally and in writing. Mandarin language skills are not necessary, but helpful
- Effective in presenting context, product vision and strategy; whether it be to your team or to partners to ensure they know ‘why’ decisions are made
- Excellent understanding of product design and UX principles, high attention to detail and an eye for quality
- Understanding of the Android device ecosystem
- Data literate and motivated by delivering measurable product impact
