**Department Overview**

The Global Ad Technology Department (GATD) manages the whole of the advertising systems that power Rakuten. We are a cross-functional and data-driven organization working together in a diverse team spread across five countries: Japan, Singapore, India, China and UK.

**About the team**

We develop and maintain a comprehensive advertisement delivery service that allows both internal stakeholders (Rakuten Ichiba merchants) and external advertisers (huge national and international clients) to freely manage their promotional mix and marketing campaigns. You will be able to learn everything about Rakuten Group's wide range of services and huge data asset.

As a **QA Software Engineer**, the incumbent will be part of our Technology Management Section. He/She champion high delivery and service standards in ensuring all products are methodically tested and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and strategies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Champion high delivery and service standards in ensuring all products are methodically tested and issue-free at all gate-keeping points.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and project managers, to define testing requirements and strategies.
- Execute test cases, identify defects, and ensure all quality issues are properly documented, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Perform regression testing and ensure compatibility across different platforms and devices.
- As part of the CI/CD process in an agile setting, implement automated testing initiatives in both functional and non-functional areas of the test pipeline.
- Work closely with QA Manager to continuously identify risks and close the gaps to ensure comprehensive test coverage for every release.
- Proactively pinpoint issues, make plans for fixes, and provide testing and automation options that will satisfy the team's business requirements.
- Produce test summary reports for each test cycle.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computing, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
- Proficient in Java and other programming languages.
- At least 3 years of professional software quality testing experience with hands-on automation
- Experience in performing API Testing.
- Strong understanding of test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Familiar with a variety of automated testing tools, including JMeter, Jenkins, Selenium, Appium, BrowserStack, and Cucumber.
- Any Technical Test Analyst / Test Manager certification is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-driven and self-motivated.
